WE NOW LIVE IN A DATA-DRIVEN ECONOMY

Success means really integrating data into your business

Due to all the different sources, the different types of data and the amount of data it is more difficult than ever to get real insights out of data.

Even the smallest business generate data these days. If the business has a website, a social media presence, accepts credit cards etc., even a one-person shop has data it can collect on its customers, its user experience, web traffic, and more. All this data can be used in various ways to improve your business.

However making sense of this data is not easy, there are more data sources available, data sources have more data columns in them, the volume of the data has increased and there is a variety of data, structured data like tables, excel sheets, textfiles but also other forms like documents, emails, tweets and logfiles.

In the old world strong technical knowledge or lengthy projects were needed to integrate the various data sources before even getting to analyzing the data. When the data made available or was integrated it took time-consuming slicing-and-dicing through the data due to the amount of data columns and the volume of the data to get to the insights that were needed to improve your business.

However computers are far better equiped to handle large amounts of data and making sense of it, however computers aren’t able to know what we are looking for. To really make sense of the data and make good use of the computing power we need a symbiosis of humans and computers, what’s needed is analytics that’s guided by humans but supported by computers.

HUMAN-COMPUTER ANALYTICS

A new kind of analytical platform

Faster insights

Easily combine datasets

Get visualisation recommendations

Computer should provide us suggestions in what data can be used, how to connect the various data sources, give recommendations regarding (combinations of) columns providing valuable information and automatically create nice-looking visualisations. Human-computer analytical systems do that. They will suggest additional datasets that could improve your analysis, recommend other aggregations over the data than you’re looking at, will advice on visualisations based on the data in your analysis and will create nice-looking visualisations without much tweaking and tuning.
